Activities nearby Rancho El
Gaspareņo
It seems that
most people come to South Baja; Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico
because it's always warm, the sea is an indescribable blue, and few
places on the North American continent have so much or so little to
do
We're renowned for our world-class sport fishing and
championship golf, but did you also know we have an impressive array
of water sports, miles of beaches and desert trails to explore and
7,000-foot mountains to climb? How about surfing on the Pacific
Coast

Or during the season, spend the day watching a pod of whales
play slap the tail. You can also sit behind the wheel of a Baja Racing
style off road vehicle and take a test drive in the Baja desert near
Rancho El Gaspareņo or cruise on a tall ship and dream of days when
pirates sailed the oceans. If you've got the energy, there's no
shortage of exciting, unusual and fun activities to do in the Cabos
area of Baja California Sur, Mexico. Enjoy the
adventure.
Also, included you will find information regarding a not too
well known overland trail for the experienced hikers and naturalist
that starts just a little north of the ranch and winds through canyons
and across the Victoria Mountain Range (La Laguna) over 7000 ft. high
all the way to Santa Anita on the Sea of Cortez side just north of San
Jose' Viejo and the main road to Cabo San Lucas.
On the trail you will encounter an unparalleled array of
different wildlife types, animals that can only be found here.
As well, you will also find information regarding the fact that
some of the best year around surf fishing, anywhere, can be found
right in front of the ranch, imagine pulling in a 100 pound fish right
off of the surf. It is done and right there, not to mention the fact
that the fleet from Cabo San Lucas frequents this well know offshore
area, in in search of big game fish, giant prize game fish that people
come from all over the world to challenge.
Also I have made mention of Whales, this is a big thing.
Rancho El Gaspareņo with out a doubt is positioned with the closest,
most viewable and the easiest access to the Pacific Ocean and beach of
any property on the Pacific Coast, "Cabo Pacifico", along the main
highway from Cabo San Lucas to Todos Santos. Large pods of several
types of whales and their calves can be seen as close as 100 yards
from shore swimming and frolicking, sometimes, all day long. It is
quite a sight to see, with whale watchers lining the top of the Rock
point and cars lined up and down the Highway. The first time that I
viewed this, I thought that maybe there was a sinking ship or some
kind of Airline disaster, only to find out what it really was, a large
pod of frolicking whales. It is really a crowd pleaser, locals as well
as tourist go crazy for it, We had a bus load of 20+ nuns in full
dress come from La Paz last year and approached us and asking for
permission to come onto the ranch and view the spectacle from the
beach, it was really something to see the joy on everyone's
faces.... |
